Physical activity has always held an important place in Rachel’s life. Her passion for sport and physical fitness started at a very early age. She took the opportunity to try many aspects of fitness along the years, including Pilates.

In her late twenties Rachel decided to move away from the corporate world to pursue her passion for health and fitness. She qualified as an Advanced Exercise Specialist which included her certification as a Mat based Pilates Teacher. Rachel had always treated Pilates as a relaxation class, but it was not until her training to be a teacher she realised there was a lot more to Pilates than was taught at the local gym.

Having always found the thrill in high impact and energetic exercise which often led to injuries and muscle tightness, Pilates gave Rachel the knowledge to effectively understand the movement and efficiency of the human body. Rachel strongly believes in the practice of Pilates and the importance of the core “the powerhouse” in all forms of sport and exercise but most importantly for life. Her Pilates practice strongly complements her other role as a Personal Trainer.

Having had 3 babies within 4 years and having suffered severe diastasis Pilates played a major part in returning her body to its full strength.

Rachel has a passion for continued learning and believes that your mind and body can never stop growing. She takes any opportunity she can to attend workshops and masterclasses to further her knowledge of the Pilates practice. Rachel brings her energy and passion to her clients. Her clients, both male and female, young and old, come from a wide range of backgrounds.
